Pactwalker — early playtest
Draw a sword, shape a spell, and phase-step through the air. Pactwalker is an early single-player combat sandbox I’m building for fun while learning AI-assisted game development. Try the movement, fight the desert creatures, and see how your spells fare against the Pale Colossus.
Desktop keyboard and mouse required. Use a WebGPU-capable browser such as current Chrome or Edge; device support varies. The first load prepares graphics and can take a little while. Click to play, then click the game to capture the mouse. Press Escape to release it and F1 for the full guide. Fullscreen is recommended.
Quick controls: WASD to move, Space to jump, Q to phase-step (hold to aim), X to draw your sword, left click to attack, right click to guard, 1–6 to ready spells (hold left click to chant and release to cast), V to change view.
Try the shield: Press 6 to ready Gyōrin (暁輪, Dawn Ring). Tap to raise a quick shield, or finish its chant for a stronger shield. Face incoming attacks—the disc protects your front.
Spells have original Japanese names and voiced incantations. Tap for a quick cast, or hold through the chant for full power. Japanese voice can be turned off in Sound settings.
Built on Tidewater by dgreenheck, released under MIT. Pactwalker adds its sword, spells and spirit-world combat to that foundation. Made with AI coding tools and a mix of generated, original and credited open assets. Full credits are linked in-game.
